Jackson Health System

Comprehensive, Compassionate Care

Welcome to Jackson Health System!

Jackson is an internationally recognized, academic health system comprised of six hospitals: our centerpiece, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Holtz Children's Hospital, Jackson North Medical Center, Jackson South Community Hospital, Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital and Jackson Mental Health Hospital. It is also home to the Ryder Trauma Center, Miami-Dade County's only Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center; and the UM/JM Burn Center, one of the leading burn treatment centers in the nation and the only one in South Florida.

We also have community clinics and several specialty centers located strategically throughout the Miami-Dade community. In addition, we offer a fully licensed health maintenance organization (HMO), the JMH Health Plan. Jackson, a public health system with 2,482 licensed hospital and nursing home beds, is devoted to caring for those in our community. We are also an international destination for patients seeking advanced, life-saving treatments.

In affiliation with the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and others, Jackson provides a wide range of patient services, educational programs, a clinical setting for research activities and a number of health-related community services.

In recognition of our outstanding medical care, the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center and Holtz Children's Hospital are both ranked among America's Best by U.S. News & World Report on its annual lists of "America's Best Hospitals" and "America's Best Children's Hospitals."  Three specialties at Jackson Memorial made the list: neurology and neurosurgery; ear, nose and throat; and kidney disorders. Holtz is among the country's elite when it comes to treating diabetes and endocrine disorders in children and providing intensive care to the tiniest babies.

Among other specialties that Jackson is recognized for are our stroke services. The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has accredited Jackson Memorial Hospital as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Jackson North Medical Center as a Primary Stroke Center. Our facilities offer state-of-the-art technology and 24/7 access to a unique multi-disciplinary team of specialists.
