Currently, one in three adults in the United States is overweight. Obesity creates serious health risks including high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke and some forms of cancer. Our Weight-Loss Surgery Center is led by well-known bariatric surgeon Jorge L. Sosa, M.D. Dr. Sosa has performed more than 1,800 gastric bypass procedures, which he does through a laparoscope, thus improving recovery time and leaving much smaller scars.
