Jackson Memorial Hospital, in affiliation with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, has earned the designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).

Jackson Memorial is the only hospital in Miami-Dade County that is distinguished as an AHCA Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is one of just 12 stroke centers in Florida with this designation. Jackson Memorial Hospital also received Primary Stroke Center designation by the Joint Commission.

In addition, AHCA has designated Jackson North Medical Center as a Primary Stroke Center.

These designations are given to hospitals with care programs that follow state and national standards and guidelines that can significantly improve the outcomes for stroke patients.
