The P.E.T. Health Center’s mission is to prevent the spread of communicable
diseases including HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases. It focuses on
early intervention for HIV spectrum disease, provides HIV testing and primary
care services for its patients.
The center, located in Miami Beach, provides care for
patients in Miami-Dade County. It also facilitates referrals to Jackson Memorial Hospital
and other Ryan White Title 1 providers for specialized services if
needed. Center employees provide care in English, Spanish and Creole.
Your financial evaluation will determine what amount you have to pay. To
assist you in qualifying for health benefit programs, please bring the following
information:
- Photo ID - drivers license, passport,
Florida ID
- Proof that you live in Miami-Dade
County - rent receipt, light, water or other utility bill
- Proof of income and family size -
last four consecutive pay stubs, most recent income tax, bank
statements
Hours of Services Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday:
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. First Saturday of the month:
8 a.m. to noon
If patients are admitted to a hospital for any reason, they can call a P.E.T.
nurse 24 hours a day at 305-543-8651.
Public Transportation You can access the P.E.T. Health
Center via the Miami-Dade Transit bus system on buses H, C, W and K.
