Radiology
RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAMS
Jackson Memorial Hospital/Jackson Health System is the major teaching
hospital for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine's Department of
Radiology, which also provides clinical
services at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics and the University of
Miami Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center. The department is well equipped
with state-of-the-art technology. Over 500,000 examinations are performed each
year.
The Department of Radiology offers two accredited
programs, attracting residents from many parts of the country. The
core program is a four-year residency in Diagnostic Radiology, qualifying a resident for examination by the American
Board of Radiology.
Our graduates are prepared for radiology practice in either academic or
private settings, and upon graduation, will be capable of providing medical care
of a very high caliber and of conducting high quality research.
