Maternity Services
Compassionate Care for Women and their Children
Jackson Health System is dedicated to providing quality, compassionate care
for women and their children. Jackson offers OB/GYN and maternity services at
several prenatal care centers throughout Miami-Dade County and at three JHS
hospitals: Jackson North Medical Center, Jackson South Community Hospital and
the Women’s Hospital Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Our doctors are specialists in women’s health and are dedicated to providing
state-of-the-art medical care using the latest techniques and procedures.
Specially trained nurse midwives also offer personalized, unique services for
women with low-risk pregnancies. Our staff embraces a multidisciplinary approach
that encompasses patient care and education in a family-centered, friendly
environment.
The Women’s Hospital Center at Jackson Memorial offers a variety of services
for women in one convenient location. In affiliation with the Department of
Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of
Medicine, the center boasts many leading physicians who are ranked among the
best in the country.
The Women’s Hospital Center provides world-class care for moms and their
babies. The center specializes in high-risk maternity care, is designated as a
regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center and has specialists available 24/7. The
center is also located adjacent to Holtz Children’s Hospital’s Project: New Born
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, one of the largest neonatal intensive care units
in the country, which cares for the tiniest and most critical newborns with some
of the best outcomes in the world.
Jackson North Medical Center and Jackson South Community Hospital also offer
maternity services with convenient, comfortable mother and baby units. All
three hospitals offer regular child-birthing classes for expecting parents,
lactation consultants and tours of the maternity units. Experienced nurses also
educate new parents on how to properly care for their newborns before they are
discharged from the hospital.
